The Tata Group is a private business conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai. Its current chairman is Ratan Tata. Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata appointed Cyrus Mistry as the successor of the Tata Group on 28 December 2012. Ratan Tata has been associated with the Tata group for the last 50 years, he was the chairman of the Tata group for 21 years. Ratan Tata took over in 1991 after JRD Tata.
